Make Gallivanting Your Next Group Destination

Whether you’re looking to give your learners and students a unique take on Irish history, organise a community event with a difference or breathe fresh air into your next corporate think-tank – choose Gallivanting.

Schools and Colleges

There’s no better way to teach children than by involving them in the subject matter. As an educator, Gallivanting gives you the opportunity to present Irish history, nature and cultural studies in a new, engaging and refreshing way – through hands-on activities, storytelling and exploration. On one of our immersive and curriculum-aligned nature experiences your group will learn about how the natural world and Irish landscape shaped our culture and identity. They’ll hear about the Vikings arriving in Ireland, the Pagan Celt belief that spirits inhabit all aspects of the natural world, and the ancient myths and legends that weave together past and present. Led by an authentic 8th generation ‘Bean Feasa,’ a traditional wise woman, your group will learn basic foraging skills, explore Irish words, develop a new appreciation for trees and learn about our incredible ‘wood wide web.’ And most importantly, they’ll have fun as they learn.

Alternatively, choose to bring the tradition of the seanachai (storytelling) into your classroom – with an engaging storytelling session inspired by local folklore and Irish mythology.

Community and Friends

Whether it’s a birthday celebration, anniversary or special reunion with friends – Gallivanting is your perfect setting. An opportunity to get out of town and immerse yourself in nature’s beauty and wonder in great company. Led by our ‘Bean Feasa’ you’ll take a wonderful walk through forestland, explore the beauty and share the wisdom of ancient myths and legends. You’ll write your name in Ogham, find out your Celtic Tree Sign, do some foraging for wild food and learn about the healing power of woodland herbs and plants as well as their use in cooking and crafts. Walking groups, women’s groups, wild swimming groups and more – you’re so very welcome. You can choose to pair your visit with lunch or dinner, and we will shortly have accommodation packages available.
